Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens? We've had chickens for the past year.
How many chickens do you have right now? 2 adult hens, and 5 chicks.
What breeds do you have? Of the adults, we have one Rhode Island Red, and one Black Sex Link. Three of the chicks (~3 weeks old) are Buff Orpingtons; the other two (~1 week old) are Barred Rocks.
How did you find out about BackYardChickens.com? In the time that I've spent searching for answers over the past year, BYC seemed to come up quite a bit in the results.
Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share. My fiancee and I decided to get chickens last year after buying a house. We are currently building a run (that will be more secure than our last one) and a new coop for when our chicks are ready to go outside. We also have 3 dogs (the reason this run is going to be more secure).
So far, everything I've seen on this site has been so helpful. I look forward to my stay here.
