Here's a quick update and another heartfelt thank-you for your support.

As of this morning, I've climbed to 50th out of 178.

I'm just one vote in front of two others and to get to 40th, I'm in need of 50 votes.

I know y'all can help me make the difference.

The blog was updated again yesterday... you'll have to see what we've been up to this last week... believe me, our little farm is expanding... and we may have even found a way to create some income.

Woo Hoo! As they used to say on "The Jeffersons"... we're movin' on up!

This morning, y'all have helped me get to 43rd on this list. That's just awesome... but there's a long ways to go.

Now the mountain gets a little steeper... I'm just 25 votes shy of getting to 39th.

How far from 1st? About a little over 12,000 votes.

A quick note about the person in 1st place... she's really mobilizing one of the largest blogging networks.

I'm totally sure we can mobilize the BYC to give her a solid run for her money... y'all with me? Please vote and ask your friends to vote, too.

If you really want to win you need to do Shell Accounts then just spam it like the number 1 person. (Unless they have a huge following, its prolly what they are doing)

Its sad but the only way to win alot of things anymore is to cheat.... Its why I dont play anything anymore.

Bubba, this other individual is developing a large following. I frequent the same place. Since I arrived well after she did, it's not hard to understand how she has so many votes.

I'm really sorry to feel you think the only way to win something is to cheat.

Time for a quick update on the Blog for a Year competition.

With all your help, I've now risen to #38. Of course, the only one who'll get paid to blog for a year is the winner... and she's enlisting the help of a very large social networking site.

As popular as BYC is, there's no doubt we can outstrip her efforts.

As promised, I have now submitted a press release , which is being shown throughout the Internet. I am also continuing to blog about our little farm, us "Country girls", our animals, etc.

September update!

I've been moving along quite steadily, but now I'm getting into the more "active participant" area. That means I really need your help.

I'm currently in spot #32 and just on vote from tying #31.

To move to #30 I'm 49 votes shy. The person in #30 is moving along at about 10 votes a day. That means I really need to get about 16 votes a day to gain on that next person.

To show you I'm absolutely dead serious, I've not waited to win this contest... I've already begun writing the blog that will be published as a book.
