I've got a button quail chick!!!!!

oh, and i have a question, what does one do with a button quail? do they have a purpose or are they just ornamental?

Mine were ornamental.....but that is a good questions!? Some people use them for the bottom of aviaries....they live and eat of ground so they are good at picking up seed.

My son wants some quail, he's 6, I have no idea how he came up with this idea. I don't even know how he heard about quail, i don't think i ever mentioned them. Can they be friendly, or are they skitish?

Like all animals quail will adapt the younger you get them but they will always be skiddish its in there genes (I know I spelled that wrong) alot of times when they are startled they will flush Or everyone fly at once. we have our bob whites in an outdoor aviary type thing and if one of the goats gets near they start to flush then hide. C
