I've got a songbird?!?

My Speckled Sussex sings like a songbird. I never knew chickens made so many noises. She chirps and trills and makes other sounds too. It's fun to listen too

Mine do too. Their noises are very different than the other chicks.

hmmm I wonder if this is something that the ss only do or other breeds. I have some that I am unsure of breed but I hear one that sings like a pretty song bird in the evening.

I LOVE my Ss girls. They follow me around, making contented noises, and just generally being sweet. I could have a whole flock of them.

I got my first Speckled Sussex yesterday. I have not noticed her making different noises but I also was not listening specifically for it. I will have to spend some extra time observing her tomorrow away from the other chicks.
