I asked when she would be there next, and the lady said that she's not allowed to say.

So I guess I'll call tomorrow several times..

Ermmm... I don't know...

I don't think ought would be amiss with giving a call everyday until you get a response. Too often, if they get the sense you don't want the job bad enough, they will just choose someone else.

It seems to me.. alot of managers are very busy and even flustered dealing with alot on their plates.. and just plain forget some of the calls they need to make.

You didn't get ahold of her the first time, and the girl who answered will likely never remember to inform the manager... so I doubt one inquiry call where you actually get ahold of her would be bothersome.

It's up to you what you do...

I simply said: dont call SEVERAL times a day (which she stated )... because its not appropriate...
But hey, you tell her to do that... great advice!

And NO..IMO... it is NOT appropriate to call a job everyday about an application.... you look needy and desperate and well... mentally unstable. I would never hire a person like that... because they wouldnt seem to have a normal "filter"....

It IS however appropriate to call every WEEK OR so.... to check on the "status" of your application...
Op....it truely doesnt matter to me... the choices are all yours. Youre an adult that can make their own decisions...
I just wish you well... trying to give you the best, realistic advice.
