I wasn't expecting these little guys until Saturday. Four hatched out earlier this afternoon all at the same time then one or two every half hour until I have eleven beautiful little fuzz butts!!
They are not quite as dry as I would have liked them to be before I put them in the brooder but the ones that were out first were going after the toes of the younger ones so I figured I should feed the little feathered sharks. I set 25 eggs and so far 11 have hatched. I have seen some more rocking in the 'bator so I don't think these eggs are done yet. But if I get 11 out of 25 I will still be happy because these are the very first eggs of the season from young birds.
