Not that I'm complaining. Things are producing well and I'm starting to fall into more of a routine now rather than buzzing round like a blue bottle. It's peak summer here and I'm getting now around 18 eggs a day from 21 chickens. I've never seen so many eggs pile up in my life. When I was away it was a free for all between the people I'd left to look after the place but I still give some away. Now I'm trying to scrounge egg boxes as I'm able to supply the local shop with a fair amount each week. I thought I'd got to know recognise these hens but a few of them seem to have changed. I'm sure I only had around a doz when I left and now they're double the size. Plus I never saw my turkey again. I have some young Minorca chicks which are new and they are shooting up like teenagers. I guess it's going to be a while before they stop producing so much eggs on a daily basis. Now I've got my eye on learning some baking with so many!
