I googled zhu zhu pets and my suspicions were confirmed. This generations answer to a furby. Cute to parents for about the first...15 minutes maybe.
Looked over the information on one and decided to stick with the percussion set I'm getting our grandson for Christmas instead. His mom (my DSD) won't be able to remove the batteries from a drum.

Actually, my daughter is having a blast with hers everyday! She lets them run all around and they make the cutest noises! It will be even more fun once we get her the play sets!

These are no where near as annoying as furbies, these are not very loud at all. Plus you can turn them off, not so easy with a furby!
