That's the "I locked myself in my coop club!"
I had just finished cleaning the run and went inside the coop to clean up in there and put in some new shavings, etc. and was trying to just keep the door closed enough so the wind didn't really come blowing in and next think I know....THUNK! What a feeling. lol
DH had left about 5 min. earlier and I knew he would be at least an hour so my biggest decision was do I try head first or feet first out the pop door??? I went with head first, thank heaven I had just clean their run so it wasn't as bad as it could have been!

When DH came home and I told him he laughed so hard I thought he was going to fall down...

Sorry this happened to you. Note to self. Always make sure you can open the door from both sides.

We don't have a pop door yet.
Dh rigged up a string that I can pull from the inside to open the hatch if I get stuck in there. I still bring my cell phone when I go to the chicken house though.

I have a regular house sized window in the coop that I could have opened and gone out of too but there is straw piled in front of it to break the wind for winter and I didn't feel like wrestling with that.
It's just suck a sinking feeling when you hear that "click" of the latch and realize what you've done after you've laughed at everyone else it happened to!
