I've lost my mind...

I finally broke down and ordered 50 MORE chicks from Welp!

I ordered 25 Welsummers & 25 Catalanas. EEEK! The latter just looked SO pretty and are good dual purpose birds. Plus the slightly tinted eggs did me in.

I ordered Straight Run because I plan to process all the roos and keep a few hens for perpetuating the breed. If they won't sit then I will have my Bantams raise their young. (I have it all planned out. Sort of!)

Now...I gotta work on fixing the other outbuilding into an even BIGGER coop for the setters.

What am I going to do with all those eggs? Why...SELL them! They have a farmer's market out here and you can join for nothing...just sit there and sell eggs!

Just wanted to share because I am SO excited...BUT terrified at the same time. I got my first brooder chicks (15) and tried on this venture a couple of years ago. Steadily have added some from neighbor's farm and now...

I AM ADDICTED!
