Ivermectin and ignorance

I began my comments in this thread stating that we had a local doctor who has had excellent results treating patients with Ivermectin and hydroxychloroqine.
I'm curious how you (claim to) know this. Most people keep their medical information *very* private; and doctors are required to do so. Do you talk to so many of this doctor's patients and they tell you all about their treatment and results? Or, are you speaking about yourself and your own experience with this doctor?

I have to say, your post does not have the ring of truth to it, to be frank. Which begs the question, why are you so eager to promote these treatments, even to the point of .... exaggerating ... to put it nicely.

A Georgia police officer who frequently posted anti-vaxx messages on Facebook and took an anti-parasitic drug instead of a vaccine has died of COVID-19.

Captain Joe Manning, 57, of the Wayne County Sheriff's Office died on Wednesday after a short battle with the virus, according to local news station WSAV.
It looks like he lead a full life and certainly will be missed. It's too bad the media will screen grab just to villainize his decisions.

They are.
Wear a mask. Socially distance.
That certainly isn't what I meant. Of course masks and social distancing are good advice. They have been proven effective for hundreds of years for airborne communicable diseases.
Look at pictures from 1918, everyone is wearing a mask. I wonder if they whined about it and aggressively confronted teachers because the anti vax/anti maskers' children were required to mask like today's cry babies do.

Actually, he “villainized” his decisions all by himself. Like some we see right here on BYC, he used every opportunity to post his ill-formed medical advice loudly and clearly on his own social media accounts.

“In one post, Manning shared an image that said, "I am not vaccinated by choice and that's my right."

In another, Manning encouraged people to stock up on the anti-parasitic drug ivermectin, frequently used to deworm horses, and increasingly being taken by people in a misguided attempt to treat or prevent COVID-19.”

This was all him, not “the media”.

The media is the problem. When I searched his name it was Yahoo news and business insider carrying this non story. How about a tribute story of his accomplishments? What they published isn't newsworthy.

He made a decision. He died from covid. He attributed a lot to society if you took the chance to read his obit.
