Our silkie has leg mites and her poop is watery. The guy we got our other cochin from who has a hatchery says he treats his chickens every 6 months for coccidiosis. Our silkie we got at a flea market so we have no idea of her past treatment. So I would like to treat the silkie and want to get her some ivomec for her leg mites and corid for the watery poop. Does this sound correct? Where is a good place to find this stuff? Thanks

Usually people treat leg mites with something topical, and wasn them with a gentle scrub with a soft toothbrush first. Vaseline and Pam seem to be common approaches. Sure is cheaper. The ivermectin type drugs only work on biting mites/lice and I don't know that leg mites actualy bite the bird. If you mean Eprinex, the pour on, TSC sells it so it may not be hard to find locally. Most people are evdently able to find Corid at their feed store. You can also get any of them online at Jeffers Livestock -- call or email -- and they are a well known company with quick service. Here is the website with 800 phone #. Or there is always Amazon.

Treating every 6 months for cocci is not the usual approach I read about here. Theoretically, they should have immunity if they are old enough, perhaps laying age. But cocci is a pretty complex issue; up to you, of course.
