We've kept chickens for almost 10 years already. We started with 3 orpingtons and 5 random bantams.

Right now we have four hens:
buff Orp., production red, Delaware, and barred rock.
We lost our bantam silkie rooster recently.

I'm a science (STEAM) teacher, and also keep /have bred colubrid snakes and african cichlids. I'm an artist, an avid reader, a graphic novel fan, and love to solve puzzles, and other problems. We have 3 cats and a dog, too.

Our two girls are currently in high school and impress us daily. We all enjoy the chickens, but I'm the one really pushing for more.
