Started with chix about 15 yrs back. Got out of it taking care of (now late) husband. daughter's family lives here with me. Grand daughter into 4H poultry, dog show and obedience, archery. She has shown poultry 3 yrs now. She has a pair of farv's this year. Also have a laying Amaurcana. Just brought home 6 buff orps, a possible mille fleur banty and a possible Dutch booted banty. I say possibles because we picked them up at Orscheln's Sat. Haven't done chicks before, always bought layers at swap meets. We also have 6 dogs - my security force. Too many cats. Oops, forgot the 5 rabbits. Daughter (Sam) and I want to make this a subsistance farm. We're south west of
Topeka, KS near Eskridge.
