Jake & Forrest, BBFF

Here is Jake, my one-eyed Toy Wire-hair Fox Terrier (dumped by his previous owners by I-70 out in the country) and Forrest my cross-beaked Orpington. Sadly Forrest passed away the first of August. He was a sweet natured bird! I miss him! Theresa

It is! Jake helps me round up the chickens if they get out! He will do anything for me! I found him in the parking lot in a grocery store. Saw a 6' man in cowboy boots kick him, you could see shoe marks on him! He would not take food from anyone, I went into the store, bought my groceries & a small can of Mighty Dog for Jake. He ate it then he crawled on my lap & licked my face. My DH told me "happy birthday". I took him to the vet to see if he was microchipped, but he was not. I put up lost dog posters, no one ever called. My gain! He is my sweetheart. I took Forrest to the vet, the vet told me nothing could be done for Forrest, just to keep doing what I was, trimming his beak. The vet said that Forrest was not long for the world, he lived to be 5 months old. He was such a clown! Theresa
