Every 4-8 hours depending on being home/sleeping etc.I don't manually turn my chicken eggs, but I do when incubating waterfowl, and it's a 180 degree turn each time. How often are you turning them?

I have them marked with original weight + X on one side & O on the opposite. I’m going to do the 180 turns from here out. I should have left the auto turner in for my first hatch but I really wanted & needed to fit those extra 4 eggs inAll depends on how often you are turning them. If you have them marked so you can tell what a quarter turn is, then that works. I usually do a 180 when I have to hand turn mine though.![]()
If you candle at day 7 and there happens to be 4 clears, you could add the auto-turner then. Not that I’m hoping for clears for you. But if the worst happens you’ll at least get a benefit from it!I have them marked with original weight + X on one side & O on the opposite. I’m going to do the 180 turns from here out.
