I have several different breeds. I started with rescue hens and really enjoyed those. I added a few buffingtons this past summer. My birds free range and are locked in at night. Great company for my horse and cows.

I've raised Buff Orpingtons for years and they are a wonderful breed; very hardy, calm and gentle (my children, and now my granddaughter) made lap pets of them, and good layers of large, brown eggs. Good luck with your flock.
