You may have seen my previous thread regarding the auto-egg turner.

I am planning to purchase a Janoel 12 incubator and would like to hear from someone who has had experience with these incubators. I have never used a Janoel before so I would like to know the basics:
Will I need to buy another thermometer?
Do they give false instructions?
Are they accurate?
Do they have a good hatch rate?

Thanks, HokiFarmer

Always need your own accurate thermometer and hydrometer.

Instructions are hard to decipher. Depending on your climate it may be better to set your own humidity than just add water to the bottom tray as per instruction -- in some climate that's just too high humidity.

Once calibrated it's accurate to an extent.

I had good hatch rate on goose eggs with these. I didn't use the auto turn tray at all so cannot comment on that.

OK Thanks, How would I adjust humidity? I live in New Zealand and where I live it is roughly 50-80% humidity.

Any goose egg tips for the janoel 12. Why don't you use the auto trainer?
