Janoel incubator - question about the little vent hole!

Do I plug the little hole in the top up at lockdown???

Keep it open the whole incubation. I have taken out he rubber in my incubators. You need to increase humidity at lockdown but ventilation is also important.

Good luck! Are you using local eggs? I have only been able to use shipped eggs and have not had amazing hatch rates. I think if you can keep the incubator in a room with stable temperature it helps as there is not much insulation on the j-12. I tried adding some as a test though and the temp went too high.

I'm using eggs from my girls. I added a small towel around the bottom. Temp seems fine. I'm on day 15 now.

I love these incubators, although they're not very well insulated and their temps sometimes dip

I have 6 eggs in- originally 9, but I dropped one the first day and two had blood rings... all 6 are active and alive at candling last night.

how do I make sure my humidity stays where it should stay??? I am unsure how much water to add to get it there and not add too much.
