January Swap Chatter

You can post on here when you ship, but you aren't supposed to say to whom they are going! November we gave hints, like mine said 'eggs are going south for the winter'. If you signed up for the swap, you should have an incubator ready

November's swap we were all pretty good about sending them around the same time.

If we join in on a future swap, can we request to know when the package is supposed to arrive? I'd hate to have to check the mail for a package every day, or miss the package and have it sit for a day or two in the cold.

I finally put those chick order catlogs to good use!!

Since I have baby ducks and quail in the house, I need my newspaper for them, so my swap buddy will have the entire Murray McMurray Hatchery 2009 catalog in the box, all you'll need to do is un-crinkle it

There is some of the 2008 catalog in there too!!

Since I was so intent on getting mine packed, I'll just post here what mine are. I usually put a note in the box, but I forgot, and I don't feel like cutting it open and using even more tape on it!

Ok, most of the eggs are from my dad's pen, which has RIR and SLW roos and hens. There is one light brahma hen and 2 roos that are probably feed store cochins, or something like that. They are really big and pure white, with feathered legs. There is also a pure white rock roo. There is one egg that is from my OEG hen, one or two that are standard cochin (hen) and red jungle fowl (roo) mixes, and maybe one or two that are who knows what. I don't remember where I collected all the eggs from, but I think at least 6 of them are from my dad's pen. I will most likely get mine out tomorrow, and mine are going south for the winter again!!
