SO I first found out about this breed I call a "Jappie" when my splash silkie hen, Marshie laid her first egg. I set 32 eggs in the bator that day, and 6 hours later I couldn't resist the urge to pop in marhsie's first egg!
the VERY first hatched was marshie's egg. last to be put in, first to hatch. a day early.
he turned out so cute! I named him milkshake. it was smaller than the average silkie chick, being part of the jap in him. his daddy was a BTW Japanese bantam.
this is my jappie milkshake!
six months later, milkshake turned into this beautiful fella:
SO either tomorrow or on the fourth of july we should have about 5 more of these "Jappies". its been 6 months since I last incubated these, and I don't know if they will turn out the same or not. ANYWAYS ill post new pics of the chicks.
NOW id like to see your beautiful Jappie creations!
