Japanese Bantams? They have feathers on legs

I was told that these were Japanese bantams when they were chicks. Since they have grown, there are feathers on their legs, not strong, but there. They are half siblings (all same roo) but never saw the hens. Can you tell me are they mostly japanese with a little cross, or something different? 2 are roos and the other is a laying hen. The red roo is extremely timid and behaves like a hen. Sorry there aren't better pictures of him, but he tries to hide under or behind the other roo.

 
Could be crossed with D'uccle bantams, would explain the beards

Thats what I thought as soon as I saw them.
