Japanese coop for Japanese Bantams

You MUST get a pair of "shi shi" dogs for your coop! Google them. They are on nearly every building, home, business etc in Japan.

We moved from Japan to the US back in spring and brought our own Shi Shi's for the outside of the home, and a few for decorations. You can mount them on the roof, or fence post. Very authentic!

oh wow, if you could do a pagoda coop....

I have raised Koi for many years and Love them. A nice pond outside the run would be a lot safer for all the critters involved. But every nice Japanese garden has water in it.

The Koi can be as much fun as chickens!! Here is the most awesome Koi website I know of... enjoy window shopping.

Thanks everyone! I think I'm going to base the coop off of the Golden Pavilion like someone suggested. I especially like the idea of the run under the building. Also, I am a HUGE koi fan! Thanks for the website, but I already know a ton about the gorgeous little fish! Actually, I just lost my favorite koi the other day due to excessive heat

any other coop suggestions for my spoiled Japanese Bantams??

Oh, although off topic, the koi I just lost was a gorgeous Sanke. Next koi I get is either going to be a Gin Rin Sanke or a Golden Ghost koi. And would it be safe to put a koi pond with netting over it in the run?

Actually, I bet a full grown koi would be more of a threat to a chick than a full grown chicken would be to a young koi. Have you seen how big those things can grow!
