I am thinking of getting some Japanese Jumbo Quail Eggs and am a bit confused

Courtnix are 18 day incubation
Bobwhites are 23 days
and Chinese pained 16 days

what are Japanese Jumbo?

Thanks

I really need an answer asap as I already bidded on the eggs

Jumbo Coturnix/Japanese/Pharaoh Quail are just larger eggs. The species/breed is no different, just the "cream of the crop", so to speak. Ideally, breeders withhold the largest eggs to breed from so that you have larger stock. This is great for those that are raising the quail for meat/eggs.

Incubation - 18-19 days

Just had my first hatch a couple weeks ago. They grow FAST so I now have a 3-step brooding system. Incubator to small plastic bin (non-slip lined) brooder, on to the larger pine filled plastic bin, followed by the final wired cage -- hopefully by week 4.

I didn't realise the same breed had so many names

didn't win the Jumbo I originally bid on but won another auction of 48 mixed eggs

Japanese, Golden Jumbo, Italian and English

Will they also be same 18ish days

:)

Thanks for your help guys
