Japanese Quail Eggs Day 16

They will eat some of it, just how birds are, and it's the right size for chicks... so.... you don't want "kids" sand that's been dyed or washed with chemicals. Plain old, cheap-o, gonna-make-cement-type sand will do. I buy a 60 pound bag of the stuff for 80 cents at my local do-it-yourself-hardware store; that's a little over a half of a cubic foot of sand.

Thanks for all the tips everyone! I really appreciate it Should I be worried about this temp?

Update: Two chicks have hatched and been placed in the brooder.
