Javas....any thoughts?

Hello, first time keeper here. I have 15 javas around 4 months. I was told they were cold hardy and decent layers but beyond that I know nothing.

Anyone have any thoughts about the breed? It gets cold here in northern IL, (down to 20 below f), will they be ok? Hot too, over 100 here and there.

what kind of egg output should I look to see?

I'd love to know if anyone else has these, I haven't seen anyone yet.

My Javas gave me eggs all winter. My cock was nipped by a bit of frost on his comb, but I live in Minnesota, so that is to be expected. Come over to the java thread for more info.
