My boys therapists thought it would be a great idea for them. So this past February we became proud owners of 4EE, Black Jersey Giant, Buff Orpington, Rhode Island Red, and Ameraucana Rooster.
Everything thing has been going great. Have been learning lots through this website and others.

Hidden nests, too many treats (whole grains, aka scratch), and just quit because they're adjusting to the cold are all common reasons for eggs to stop appearing.

Thank you. We've been having fun here on the Essig Funny Farm. Our Buff Orpington (Beeker) became Broody in September. She's taking care of 5 chic's. Not one is hers, her egg didn't make it. But she's been a very good mommy.
