So the little (BSL we've decided?) we brought home yesterday has decided she's quite happy here and she's going to settle down and raise a little flock.
We do believe she's been exposed to a rooster (pretty sure there was one in the crate with her at the auction yesterday so presumably she was running with him at her last place), but we only bought our rooster yesterday & he's too young to do anything yet.
So, we'll only have her eggs.
How many eggs can one hen lay for one clutch?
I may go out and get some fertile eggs I guess, but I wasn't really planning on it.
I'm going to pick an egg up soon and have a good look at it to see if it's fertile (hopefully! I'm pretty new at this!) but I'll have to wait until she's sleeping
