Jersery Giants color ?

I ordered some chicks and got blue and black . My question is if I mate blue and blue next year do I get blue or will I get splash?:

mother of 2 boys-2 QH mare's-2 gilts-3 steers-1 heifer-2 dogs-and 30+ chickens(LOVE ME SOME JERSEY GIANTS)

Blue x Blue gives 50% blue, 25% splash, 25% black

I'm going to try and raise our own show stock next year from the stock we got this yr and last. I don't think you can show splash, so if I don't mate blue with blue only black and blue I shouldn't get splash? is that correct?

Yes, however you really shouldn't worry. People who breed blue colored breeds get splash all the time. It doesn't mean anything bad, just that you can't show them. You can still enjoy them, sell them, or show them off to let others know what they can enjoy from your offspring.

And if you want to hatch 100% blue, you'd need a splash to cross with a black.
