Jersey Giant thread !! PICTURES!!

Hey everyone! One of my favorite types of chickens, is the Jersey Giant, in fact this year I am planning on entering a couple of them into my 4-h county fair. They are very pretty (giant birds) that i enjoy very much!! My two Jersey Giants have two very different personalities, one of them is very docile and sweet and loves attention, while the other one is sassy, and loves to come up to you... only if you have food though. Anyway, post pictures and stories of your big guys! I also have a Jersey Giant roo... he is my favorite roo EVER!
* I will say that my Jersey's are kind of small right now... it's winter, and they are getting leaner.

Jersey Giants are one of my favorite breeds too. I used to have Blacks, Whites and Blues.
I don't handle my birds much but they are one of the few breeds I've had that would let me walk up to in the yard and pick up.

Nice birds! I have a few JGs a few blacks and a few blues. I had a stunnng black rooster that disappeared without a trace.

Man, that stinks! I once had a HUGE Jersey rooster who was about twice the size of an average Jersey, I mean... HE WAS HUGE!! And suddenly one day he just died, i'm guessing from just being old or something i don't know. He came up to my knee, and he was gorgeous.

A couple of my neighbor's husky/malamutes killed all my white JGs as well as some polish and jaerhons.

Oh I couldn't help but squeal when I read the thread title.. Jersey Giants are by far my favorite breed of chickens. I currently have 7 jersey giant hens.. Used to breed them but I recently lost my two breeding roosters. I could post some pics of my JGs(?)

Awesome! I love the breed! I love the subtle green-ish tint to their feathers! So pretty! Definitely one of my favorite breeds. They are great duel purpose breeds.

They are good looking. I think any pure black breed has that green tint when the sun hits it right. My Black Penedescas do and any other black bird I've had did also - Black Leghorns, AOrps, etc..

Here is my Jersey Giant rooster, he is the best rooster I have ever had! ( look at the gray chicken standing behind him, she like "Heeeeeey what's going on???"
