Hello, I was wondering how big JG pullets get. I have 4 barred rocks, 2 of which i'll be getting rid of because they're roosters. My coop is 3'x4'x5' with about 8 square feet of space in all. I would like to get one jersey giant pullet, but i'm not sure if there would be enough room for it with 3 other bantam sized chickens.

Your coop is 3X4 giving 12 sqft and your nests take up 4 sqft? I'm not sure how your getting only 8 sqft. If you have your water and feed dish in the coop then take them out for more space. If your chickens have a nice sized run and only use the coop to roost at night and use nesting box then bantams require 1.5 sqft each and full size breeds need 2 sqft minimum. Basically adding up 3 bantams and 2 hens your at your 8sqft and shouldn't add anymore chickens. Recalculate your square footage and see if you can move feed and water dish out to make room.

As for your first question, Jersey Giants get 2.5 pounds heavier than your Barred Rocks.

If you are getting them from a hatchery they won't get much bigger than the plymouth rocks. If you are getting them from a reputable breeder and get real Jersey Giants, they will be big. Very big :D
