Take your time, Scott, we're just killing time, waiting on puppers! I agree, they are very different!

OK!! You're a silly GOOSE!Heel low:
Quick pop in, busy this weekend, eh...construction, finishing touches on playground equipment, stocked up on groc yesterday and put that all away...Rick says I'll probably not want to be bothered with mundane things like stocking the shelves (ol; Mother Hubbard on strike!)...hee hee...probably dang right!. We need to make sure stuff to go pick up pups are in order, etc.
Got to see Freezer Beef as we call him...he is one lone Highland bull that shares a field with some big black Percheron draft horses...for a while there, we never spotted him out in his field and thought he had passed on...about the time we lost Fixins--so we were not happy...so it was with great JOY we saw our rusty bull was still hanging tough.
We are Mountain Standard Time, so one hour later than DD I believe. It will be five to ten p.m. DD's time when the plane arrives here. 20:55 MST. I don't have one of those "smart phones" so you won't get updates or nothing since I will be away from the desktop here at home. Just have to know we are looking after the dogs and get a post on here when they (and tired us!) are doing well.
Hunt for the carpet yesterday ended in that we have a back up that one place will order it in. Two by two meters (6.5 feet) and a nice pretty dusty blue on the side we will have facing the floor. Good quality nice rubber for the side that will be up in the containment area.
Looked at lots of rubber backed runner--lots! All of it is only three feet wide--so the usual width of a house door...not a commercial door entrance size. No biggy, will just put something down temporary till the carpet comes in or we happen to find something on Tuesday. We will casually look on Tuesday in the city while we are awaiting the arrival of the girls. Have a lovely Chinese food place to have dinner at in the city while we wait...Rick has been going there for some 40 years now and we rechecked on its status last weekend...lovely lovely Western Chinese...the waiter even served us our War Won Ton...blew my mind as I have never had someone serve me soup table side in a restaurant...tickled over that...silly really!
Breeder just e-mailed me to touch base. Girls are ready, set to go. Transport Company picks them up on the Monday at 9 a.m. Sydney time, they get their health clearances from a vet and stay overnight, in the morning of Tuesday, begin their journey here. Fly into Vancouver, have to clear Customs and then a mandatory layover rest of minimum six hours, then short flight to Alberta. Here is hoping it goes off completely boring...weather report says mild temperatures for summer with a chance of showers in the evening. We have already preformed a "dry run" of the drive there last weekend...they are paving but that should be over by Monday, so no real hiccups we can foresee, but will be tres early...waiting with bells on, eh!
Mundane things to do today, charging camera batteries, clearing off memory cards...yeh, getting ready to CLICK! Clean up two crates we are taking in case the girls make a mess in their flying crates, we'll have two spares on hand to put them in if need be after towel drying them back up for the journey to their new home. Water, kibs in case we get way laid on the home, stuff like that for the big trip on Tuesday.
Rick got the one truss up yesterday as planned, and this morning, I see he has another one up also. Good man, keeping busy with other plans meant to keep us distracted.
NO picking at Bama guys! He is like a younger version of Rick and Rick always asks for the "condensed version!"... so the dogs are named are after women from country & western fame, names by Rick of course!:
Emmylou Bell - Emmy after Emmylou Harris
Lacy Jill Lady - Lacy after Lacy J Dalton
I'll post their registered names when they arrive and discuss their pedigrees and test results when I have more time, eh. One of the BIG reasons I chose these dogs is for their stellar historical test results, and show results too--this is one heck of a GREAT kennel to be getting dogs from. Very much a dream of a lifetime and if you told me coupla decades ago we would be doing this, getting girl pups from this Breeder...I would laugh and laugh...so very NOT possible
. I guess the possible IS happening, so pinch me and tell me..."You're a silly GOOSE!"![]()
Anyway...gotta fly...

Hey Tara![]()
I love how excited you are and know that I would be the same.
I also love that two special little Aussies are soon to start the adventure of a lifetime and are going to live with probably the best owners a pupper could ask for that I know! I truly mean that and hope my sister is not reading this; she breeds Collies![]()
My cats have a toy box. At the end of each day I gather up all the toys they have played with during the day. It is so cute to see them digging around in there “hhhmm, what do I want to play with today”. Chimee talks to her toys!
Beautiful picture Wisher1000!
OK!! You're a silly GOOSE!![]()
I don't pinch Ladies.
