It's what happens when the humidity drops too much during pipping. It causes the membrane to tightly wrap the chick up causing it to eventually die.
Yes it’s what I would very much like to avoid so if anyone could tell me the correct humidity for hatching Muscovy eggs I would be very much appreciated
 
Any one know what the perfect humidity and temp are for a successful hatch of Muscovy eggs please… mine are due to hatch in a little under 2 weeks and it’s my 1st time… been told a few different ones and not sure what’s right as they are so different.
Keep the temperature steady at 99.5F. The humidity should be 45-50% before lockdown and 65%-72% on lockdown.
