Excited to be here:)! We've always had chickens off and on through the years, but after some chicken thievery/suspicious MIA last spring we were down to our one old faithful Rhode Island Red Rooster:)! So, after putting a lock on the coop, buying more wire, wood, netting for above we are now Ma and Pops to twenty of the cutest little chicks you ever saw. Expect this number to rapidly multiply (our new incubator arrived this morning). My youngest son borrowed the old one with turner and fan and it never came home-lol (it was pretty toasty anyway). So, hubby brought these home (I couldn't be there-prior plans) and he did an excellent job:)! Picked up 6 plump and pretty Rhode Island Reds, 4(OEGC-bantam maybe Duckwing) and 4 maybe Light Brown Leghorn? 4 hybrid looking or cochin, maaaybe and 4 Barred rock:)! Nice start:)! We are so excited. So far so good. Only one of the little hybrids had a tiny bit of pasty butt and we took care of that. They all seem to be warm and comfy:)! I would love a Lakenvelder, a Mille Fleur, a few bantam silkies, dream ones are any OEGB-Red Black Breasted, the Pyle, the Silver Duckwing, couple Delawares, the Japanese Longtails and Japanese Bantam (really like the little black ones /had one we called Mr. Midnight). I am sure I have more, but this would be a book. Nice to be back in with chicken friends:)!

Your list of breeds you'd like to have reminds me of every time I look at a hatchery catalog and imagine the chicks I'd like to get -- if only time, money and coop space didn't slap me back to reality. :D

Congrats on your new fortified coop, new flock and new BYC membership! This is a great place to learn and share with other folks who also think chickens are fascinating. Welcome!
