Hi All!
We are Gene & Becky from Coolidge, AZ
We have had our chicks / pullets since April (BRAND new to chickens), and have already consulted this site dozens of times. We have three each Australorps, Ameraucanas, and Red Sex Links. Thanks for helping us get them through the Arizona heat!

Welcome to BYC and the wonderful world of chickens!

So glad you could join us!

Feel free to ask questions, make comments, and just post fun stories and pictures.

Thanks! I already posted in the medical / emergency forum, waiting for a response as we speak :)
I've got an Ameraucana with an impacted crop unfortunately...

Hi :welcome Gene & Becky

Glad you could join the flock! Lovely to hear BYC has helped you lots already. You have a lovely mix of pullets there and should have some eggs in the future. Be sure to ask any questions that you may have, everyone here to help and very friendly.

Enjoy BYC and all the chicken chat :frow

Hello :frow and Welcome To BYC! Hope your Ameraucana recovers.

Welcome to BYC. Glad you decided to join our flock. A lot of us were lurkers before joining. :o) You have a nice mix of birds. Black Australorps are my favorite standard breed. I've raised them for years (along with dozens of other breeds), and they are extremely hardy in both heat and cold, calm and gentle (my children and granddaughter made lap pets of them), and excellent layers of large, brown eggs. Red Sex Links are laying machines. You should get loads of large, brown eggs from those three girls. :o) Please feel free to ask any questions you may have. We are here to help in any way we can. Good luck with your flock.

Thanks Michael! This is an amazingly friendly and helpful group.
