Joining the world of chickens

I have just recently joined the chicken world. Currently I have 17 chickens. They are a little over a month old. So far all is well. As soon as I get some decent weather I am going to start converting an old shed into a coop. need to reroof it, add a floor, some ventilation. I saw an article about old dressers being converted to nesting boxes, loved that idea, so will be checking that idea out. I know for sure that I have two Amber Whites & two Golden Leghorns. The other's for the life of me I can't recall the name. They are all the same breed though.

Yes, lots of things can be re purposed to make all kinds of things in the coop. Have you stopped by our Coops Pages for some ideas? Lots of members have done similar things with old material to make nice coops...

updated pictures of my chickens. They definitely amuse me. All are very friendly at this time. They also like to mingle with my goats.
