New to the list and to backyard chickens
Our chicks arrived march 22 and the weather in southern central PA isn't warm enough to introduce them to the coop and the outdoor pen so they are thriving in our sun room on the northwest side of the house. I'm wondering when I can move them to the coop
Thanks for your help in advance.

I believe you should wait till they are fully feathered out

! Happy to have you with us! Yes, as drumstick said - when fully feathered - usually that's at 4-5 weeks I believe. But they can spend warm days outside for a bit before that. Good luck to you!

Thanks everyone. I am trying to familiarize myself with the list and the chicks
They are Australorps and feathered and flying and ready for their new coop but the cool nights concern me since the guys at Agway told me to keep them in until they are six weeks old. That's April 30th.
