Hello there,
We moved to Vermont 2-1/2 years ago, and started our flock last spring. A lot of firsts in our lives right now and the chickens have been a wonderful part of it. We are still learning about them, but I have been amazed at how incredibly tough they are. We moved them around our property in a chicken tractor with electric net fencing all summer, and now have them in our new barn for the winter. Haven't lost one yet (even though a few of them went up in a tree nightly all summer and more than once got chased by something - raccoons, coyotes - back into the fence).
I have more respect for them everyday and feel grateful for every egg they leave for us!
Looking forward to learning from all of you!
