Hi my name is Jody and we live in NC. We owned chickens for a brief time many years ago but it has been so long we feel like we are totally new to it. We started with 6 chicks in April after we moved to the country. We quickly added 3 chickens and a rooster. We have 1 Barred Plymouth Rock, 4 Rhode Island's, 3 leghorn's and a white Plymouth Rock. They are free range. we just started letting the chicks out about a week ago and they are doing great! We currently have two small coops but have an outbuilding that we are converting to a coop asap.
We also have two dogs including a 7 month old puppy that we have had less then a week and apparently loves to chase chickens. we are working on her though!
