Just got this incubator and the instructions are crap. I have 3 eggs in it to try to see if this even works. I have several questions....What is the humidity supposed to be? When does the tray move? When do you move eggs to bottom of incubator? Thank you!

I keep my humidity between 30-40%
Be careful, a little water goes a long way in that incubator. I dont even add water. Place a hygrometer in there to monitor.

Tray moves very slowly. You wont see it. Make sure the rod on the lid is in the slot of the turning tray when you close the lid down.

Day 18,, remove upper tray and turner, lay eggs on bottom tray, keep humidity around 60-65%

I have that one too, I use a two small jar lids under the turning tray. It keeps the humidity right where it should be. If you pour it in the bottom there's a lot of water surface area, which makes the humidity skyrocket. Lowering the surface area by filling just some jar lids helps a lot. I have hatched over a hundred eggs in this incubator and I've never had a hatch rate lower than 90% in it. Its a good incubator but takes some figuring out.

Wonderful thread. I just got one like that yesterday, tested temp last night and it runs one degree cooler than monitor says which is fine. I started testing humidity today and yicks! 69%. My test thermometer is also a hydrometer and humidity was a low of 43% with no water in it all night. I was just coming to ask some questions about controlling the humidity and here are all the answeres. Thank you guys.
