Before you spend a whole lotta money having a colorist fix your hair first try doing a treatment with Paul Mitchell Shampoo 3...apply the shampoo to slightly dampened hair, bring to a lather, place a processing cap over your hair (shampoo and all), and sit in the sun for 10 minutes....I bet the hair color you used had violet in the base and your pouress hair was stained, the shampoo 3 should remove some, if not all the stain. If this doesn't work get yourself a demi (shades eq by redken or pm shines by paul mitchell) with yellow in the base and it will neutralize the smokey grey/violet from your hair.
If you go the route of a colorist....what ever you do DON'T tell them you messed up your hair at home, having them fix it would be considered "color correction" and they sometimes will charge big money to fix as they figure you you pay what ever it costs to have it fixed.
