Hello all,
I purchased this chick from a Orpington breeder. Upon arrival, the breeder pulled three chicks for me to view, two looked identical to one another with very clear jubilee markings. Then she pulled out this girl and I wanted her instantly. She was colored differently, had blue eyes, pink toned skin, etc.
All along I thought I had a Jubilee Orpington until someone asked if she was a Calico… after researching I’m now convinced she is a calico Orpington.
My question is, is a calico Orpington just a jubilee chick with a different color pattern? Can they have the same mother and father as the other jubilee chicks? I’m now so curious. I only selected her because I loved that she was different than the rest.
