Jubilee Orpingtons?

I have seen a few people that have them here on BYC and I am wanting to know more about them. I have mainly seen them for sale in the UK. If anyone has any information on this breed i would gladly take it! I am wanting to get a trio of these birds but i just cant afford the $199 a chick from Greenfire Farms. Possibly looking for hatching eggs this spring.

Are they aggressive?
How well do they lay?
Do they take confinement well in coop and run?
Are they Broody?
What size are the Hens and Roosters?

I just saw some on ebay the other day but they were out of the price range for a school teacher. I might need to try and make my own.

I was bidding on some on e-bay one day this week and they were taken off by e-bay. I called e-bay to see why and they would not disclose the reason, stating privacy. However, shortly after they were taken off they appeared again only to have e-bay to take them off again. I was kind of shocked at the buy it now price of $600.00. After having that happen to me I will be very careful about which auctions I bid on. Debbie

I would like to eventually have a trio of the Jubilees and also a trio of Chocolates. On Greenfire Farms the Jubilee's are $199 per chick minimum of 6 chicks per order. and the Chocolates are $99 per chick plus shipping. I cant talk my wife in to those prices. They are expensive birds but I will have them some day!

I would love to have a couple of the Welsumner eggs. I also would love to have a trio of the Jubilee although I can not afford the price that they are asking on greenfire. Do you know of anyone that might have the hatching eggs for them at a much cheaper price. Thank you so much for your time and your advice.

I just won an auction from Greenfire farms for 6 jubilee chicks and I ordered two pairs of chocolates.....in about 5 months I will have some eggs.....
