I have 3 eggs left out of the first batch due tonight or tomorrow. I see 1 has started to wiggle! At first I thought it was my imagination. But I sat and watched it for a while and no it's wiggling. My delawares I popped in a day or two ahead of yours has all hatched. I'm just waiting for these 3 to hatch and I think they are all 3 labeled black. Please keep your fingers crossed they hatch I want some of these silkies so bad!

So these are not the ones I recently sent? I hope they all hatch. The blacks have been really great chicks.

No these were from the first set of 8 that you sent the first week of Dec. I can't wait to see them hatch.

Well I hope they all hatch and hope you get a good hatch out of the last round too. Maybe you get a white or two out of the last ones. I have been hatching some really awesome whites. Very heavy foot feathering.

Well I decided to open the eggs they were due several days ago and it looks like 2 of them died at day 14 or around there. Then the other must have died yesterday it was breathing the day before it just didn't pip the air cell. They were perfectly formed and all 3 were going to be black.

I only have 2 eggs that are growing out of the last batch. One is a mystery egg it didn't have any color written on it. Then the other egg says black so I have my fingers crossed those to hatch.

So sorry, Do you think your humidity is too high?. I have lost more right before hatch to high humidity than to low. I have only four eggs now out of 36 eggs shipped from Tampa area that are viable. That was sad to me. I just hope they hatch. I am hoping you get some of the blacks. Little conehead crowed for my DH this morning and we were both laughing. He is getting prettier everyday. His chest is widening out. I will take his picture next week for an update

No my humidity has been great since I recalibrated it and my delawares that were due at the same time popped out so clean and trouble free. Out of all the eggs I've hatched this last batch was the cleanest and they zipped so easy. No sticky chicks like before. I think it's just the shipping and the postal gorilla tossing the boxes around. I have hope for the other two and can't wait to see what color the mystery egg is.

Well keep me posted. Nobody much is laying right now except my whites and two hens , one each out of the Blue/Splash pens. I think I have finally broken the broody spell out of the others but haven't put them back in the pens yet. They haven't started laying again either.
