32! I only have 9 and it seems like a lot when I'm doing the "check for pasty butt" or the "is everyone drinking water?" check!!!

Freaking out!
Called the PO again this morning--an hour ago ("Hi, this is the crazy lady who keeps calling about her chick order") and spoke to the same young girl...turns out there was a box of chicks on her supervisor's desk this morning, and they've gone out with the carrier--should be here by 12...
Before telling me this, she let me go through a whole spiel about how the tracking info. says they came into the main sort facility at 2:30am..."Oh Yeah, they must be the ones that were on my supervisor's desk and I said, 'They must be the ones that lady called about yesterday, but I lost the piece of paper I had with your address and phone number--it just disappeared Ha Ha Ha!' "
ME:"heh. Were they peeping at all??"
Her: "Yeah, I could here them peeping down the hall!"

OK, now I'm thinking they are in an overly air-conditioned office, probably uncomfortably cold...
So, they've gone from that environment to a stifling truck (going on a 1 hour plus trip around the neighborhood, at this point...)
If noontime comes (10 minutes from now) and they still aren't here...

JUST got a call from someone at PO--she will be bringing the chicks by in 10 minutes!!
Please let them be ok!!!

Looks like they all made it!!
Thanks for putting up with my lunatic rants! LOL

No pasty butt, either!
And all went right for the feed, and then the water (with a little coaxing).
The Salmon Faverolle cracks me up--looks like she's trying to make a jail break half the time! I've heard they can sometimes be picked on, but she's certainly holding her own!
I just have a question about sleeping/napping...how can you tell if they're doing it, and should I be worried if they do it too often?
There are a few who wil seem very normal, eating and drinking, but then I'll see them standing still, with their heads down (wobbling a bit)...then someone runs into them, and wakes them up and they're pecking away for another few minutes. But they periodically sort of "zone out"...and of course, that worries inexperienced, neurotic me!

I'll have pictures soon! Unfortunately my boss has been calling amongst this chaos with questions (yes, this is supposed to be vacation!) and my dog has insisted that she be allowed into the garage to assess the situation!
5 is enough to handle--you guys with 30+, I have to hand it to you!!

Yippee! They made it!

Yes, I have noticed for the first day or two most will sleep standing up. They will sleep a lot at first, so that is perfectly normal. Glad our chicks made it. Anyone still waiting?

Here's some pictures. They have settled in nicely and seems they all have gotten past the shaky legs they had from being in a box for two days. A few of them staggered around like drunken sailors at first. I'm just going to post a couple of pictures here, then start a new thread loaded down with pictures.

Amazing! How they cram them in!

Glad they're all safe and sound!! And glad to hear the sailor legs are somewhat normal!

I've never been so glad to see anything poop in my life!!
Is a little water regurgitation normal? I have one tiny bantam chick-an EE- and it is the only one worrying me a bit.
Seems to zone out more than the others and has hung out at the water dish for a long period of time and has reguritated water.
Have seen her eat and poop, though.
Now she's under the EcoGlow, sleeping. The others have joined...except the Black Copper Marans, who appears to have fallen asleep with her face in the feed dish...
