So my wife asked me today how will the chickens do on the 4th of july ? In our hood there are a lot of people who light them off and it can get loud .

That is my DH and my anniversary, so we usually aren't home. We've never had problems with the chickens or horses, just the dogs. So, we put them in the garage so they can "hide".
As far as the chickens, you could probably lock them in their coop. I think they will be fine as long as they feel they are hidden.
