Parthridge sizzles would be cute Hi everyone!Mind if I join in? After incubating pretty much non-stop from Jan - April, a few good hatches & many disastrous ones (all shipped eggs) I decided to pack up my bators until some of my own chickens were laying. One of my silkie hens, a partridge finally started laying & I've put 8 of her eggs in 4 days ago. I have a blue sizzle roo & a white silkie roo in that pen so could be from either one, but I know the white is the 'big boy' in there. Anyway, I candled tonight for the first time & all but 1 is showing good development. I'll wait till about day 10 & candle again. I am so anxious to see how the babies look from these. The white silkie roo, "Sugar Peeps" is the 1st chick I hatched back in Jan. when I was starting over with chickens for the 1st time in 10 yrs- so these babies will be pretty special for me!![]()
