Are we doing an August hatch a long thread? I have my second incubator full, due on 8/1. Yay for being horrendous at chicken math!!!!!

As hubby is outside in the 100 degree heat working on another run.

Have 10 out of 19 totally hatched. 4 more pipped!!!

6 are my Favs!!!

Glad to see everyone that is having good hatches! We're on day 19, good temp and humidity and 5 out of the 8 are rocking and rolling, no pips yet. Fingers crossed for everyone and my babies too!

Hi there.... havent been in a hatch along for a few monthsSaw this in the forum
Guess Im coming in late here as my hatches are due 25th 26th and 31st
Coming along fine so far.
Lav Orps and Lav Amercaunas maybe some Palomino Bantam Brahmas although none have ever hatch yet and i got rid of the parents ...so id really like them to work out this time.
A few anyway
Other hens got in the Palominos coop so I truly don't know what ill get there Probably some big suprises I set everything in there but all are tan so could be anything mixed or pure Pals

Anybody else hatching late too?

Hey Nicole..Did you just get eggs from me yesterday or am I confusing ppl.?
I just saw my one Buff Orp was broody again yesterday.
Guess ill come along to the August also as im setting some under her tomorrow Probably due Aug 4th if all goes well

wow 5 days of not reading and so much has happened here and in my house.

To start i put my eggs on tuesday the 2nd. on the 8th i became homeless and had to move myself and bator to my moms. a 15 minute ride. when i checked to eggs that night they were fine from the 26 about 15 had vains and moving.

on the 9th i checked the eggs and the temp was 78 someone had unpluged the bator for who knows how long.
eggs were ok throught and moving 75%
two days ago while organizing the room where im staying with my three kids my 9 year old daughter dropped a shelve on the bator, eggs went all over the place and bator broke.

i ducktape the bator( lg) and put them back in.

when i checked last night i had to throw away most of the eggs. only 11 survived the hit. so after all of this i hope that these 11 would make it. meanwhile i need to find where to move so i can be reunite with the rest of my chickens. I miss them so much.

Wow Have yours gone thru a lot.... Super chicks .....if they survive! Good luck!

I'm hatching late! Hatch date is the 24th. I have Polish, frizzle, Turken, and a guinea in the bator. The Polish are from my flock, and the others are from locally purchased eggs. So far, all of the ones from my flock are developing well... Not so much from the purchased ones. I purchased three dozen. One dozen didn't make it past the first candling, and six are still questionable.

Yep! It was good fun getting to see your flock and meet you! Eggs are in the bator now. Will see how they look in a week . I started the August Hatch-A-Long, just in my excitement! Taking a drive to TN this coming Sunday to get some more eggs (BLRW, FBCM, and anything else that strikes me that DH will let me get, lol).
