I'm not sure how to phrase this so here it goes; If I build a coop that has two or three 24" high roosts set 18" apart. How much room do standard size chickens (orpington, wyandottes, Easter eggers) need to fly down off the roosts? What I mean is the area where they will jump/fly down onto the coop floor.

Most people will say 45 degree angle down. Which equates to as much open floor space in front as the height of the roost. So 3 foot off the ground roost means 3 feet of space in front to jump down into. To get up, they don't need a lot of room. They can fly pretty well going almost vertical.
