Hi, all! My husband and I are looking into getting our first chickens in the spring. We've been thinking about this for several months, and I think we've finally made up our minds to do it. We'll spend the fall/winter researching breeds and choosing plans for/building a chicken tractor for a very few hens (3-5, I think). We're very new to this, and I'm hoping we learn lots from this website. So far, the forum looks awesome!

from WI. Well you can research on this site.....Check out the Coop Designs (top of the page) for some great ideas for coops and runs in many sizes, the Breeds on BYC, check Hendersons Chicken Breed Chart, Feathersite for starters. Read some of the posts in the variouys sections and post questions!!!! You can get sooo many ideas and also find some tips on what NOT to do....It's fun but wait till you actually have your own peeps!!!!!
